🌳HALFWAY UPDATE & START OF SUMMER VIBES🏡

May was a busy month for our team outside the real estate world. We participated in the Fergus Home and Leisure Show (Amy Murray and Dianne Synder pictured below) and celebrated Keller Williams’ international RED Day, our annual day of giving back to our communities.


Giving back to the Community

This year, we teamed up with the Food Bank to help tackle food security issues in our community. Not only did we volunteer with the Food Bank’s amazing staff for the day, but we also raised over 800 pounds of food! 🥫 A huge thank you to our team members, our clients who donated, and the Guelph Food Bank for allowing us to join them for RED Day. 


Market Update

June is significant as it marks the start of summer and the halfway point of the year in our real estate market. It’s an ideal time to reflect on the first half of the year as we move into the summer months. Comparing the May numbers from 2023 to 2024, we’ve seen an 8.62% increase in the number of listings, a 5.71% decrease in sales, and a 6.45% increase in days on the market. Inventory is starting to rise in our residential homes. 


BOC Next Announcement

There has been a lot of commentary on the recent housing announcements made by the Bank of Canada, especially as we approach the next one on June 7th. Many buyers are asking if we will see a decrease in rates. Perhaps, while any decrease may not significantly improve affordability, it could help boost confidence, encouraging more buyers to enter the market.
