5 Questions with Nate Martin from SV LAW

Nate Martin was born and raised in Centre Wellington. Currently, he is a Partner at SV Law in Elora and sits on the Board of Directors for the Groves Hospital Foundation. He has had great experiences living abroad but he was happy to come back to his hometown and raise his family.

Professionally, Nate primarily practices corporate commercial law. He has expertise in residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well as farming and agricultural businesses.  In addition, Nathan advises individuals and corporations on succession planning and personal estate planning.

Can you tell us about yourself and your business?

SV Law is a full service law firm with offices in Elora and Guelph. I have a solicitor’s practice focusing on Real Estate, Corporate Commercial law and Estate Planning.

What do you enjoy most about living & working in Centre Wellington?

It is very difficult to select one aspect of Centre Wellington that I enjoy most, but if I have to, I would say the abundance of outdoor activities. From the Grand River to the Conservation areas and Rail Trail there is always an opportunity to get outside and enjoy yourself.

What makes this community so unique?

It may be cliché, but it is the community itself that makes this community unique. Centre Wellington is full of generous and kind people. People here really care about each other, the environment and our community as a whole. It really is a wonderful community to live and raise a family in.

What are some of your favourite things to do in Centre Wellington?

Exploring the Elora Gorge is one of my favourite things to do, I’ve been doing it for decades and I’m still finding new and inspiring places.

What advice would you give someone considering a move to Centre Wellington?

Do it! As long as your name isn’t Nestle Waters Canada you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
