Melissa Seagrove chose a career in real estate more than a decade ago because it encompasses all the things that drive her to achieve success: a desire to help people in a positive way, the challenge to keep learning and growing in her field, a way to promote the community she was raised in, and just as important – the opportunity to live and work here. Melissa’s passion for her work is clear with every real estate contract, from the initial one-on-one meeting with the clients until the deal is done. But it’s her authentic dedication to her clients, her determination to go above and beyond their expectations, that ensures Melissa’s success is also that of her clients.
“It sounds cliché, but I really do care about my clients. I am closely involved in one of the most important decisions of their lives and they need to know they can trust me. I take that very seriously. It’s about building good relationships. Throughout the process, they have to know if they reach out, I’m going to answer. If they have questions, I will get answers. I am all about ‘attention to detail.’ They have to know I will respect their privacy and that my goal is ultimately to ensure they make the right move for their needs. Setting people up on their next journey is very rewarding.”
Working with Impact Realty Group allows Melissa to be a part of a dynamic team that shares her passion for real estate, her values on professional ethics, but also encourages community involvement. That’s fundamental to Melissa’s belief that you can’t know your market if you aren’t truly immersed in it.
“All of us at Impact Realty Group are on the ground, living and working and volunteering here. We approach everything we do as a team. It’s an incredible support structure that benefits our clients on every level. Our combined experiences offer clients a wealth of knowledge to ensure them a smooth transition, whether buying or selling. We know our market and we care about this place, because each of us – and our families – are invested here. We’re not about promoting how great we are as realtors. We prefer to focus on exceptional customer service and getting the work done. Our clients become our neighbours. It’s important we do our jobs right.”
But it’s also about being genuine. If you love where you live, you have to be prepared to invest in making it a great place for others to call home too. Melissa and her husband Terry, a local business-owner, are raising two teenagers, Chloe and Ethan, with the same values of community-first thinking. Melissa actively supports many local non-profit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington, and is a current board member with the Elora Centre for the Arts. She knows how special this area is for raising a family and living a good quality life. It’s that genuine appreciation for Centre Wellington that is reflected in her efforts to make every client feel at home here too.
