    Experience and knowledge of the market are key when it comes to selling real estate. It’s also vital when forging ahead to start your own real estate company. With 30 years in the local market and a lifetime in this community, Paul Martin is as invested in the future of Edge Realty Solutions, as he is in the community he calls home.

    His philosophy on real estate is simple: “This is a ‘people business.’ Be honest. Give clients good service, and respect the fact that this is the biggest investment they are ever going to make, so make it to be a good experience for them. We need to ensure our clients have the security of knowing that our job will be done correctly, ethically and in their best interest.”

    Together with colleague and business partner Malcolm Crooks, Paul launched Edge Realty Solutions in 2009 with a goal to establish a network of real estate professionals who aligned with their commitment to customer service. It was the right move.  As the business grew, The Impact Realty Group was formed, a dedicated team whose combined efforts provide clients with a personal, full service real estate experience and broaden Edge Realty’s focus.

    But there’s more to Paul than his real estate acumen. The community of Centre Wellington is important to him. With a family history in Fergus that is generations deep, he has given back to the community in countless ways, but mostly proudly as a volunteer firefighter, retiring after 27 years of service. Paul is also a member of the Fergus Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He still laces up his skates to play hockey twice a week and when the ice comes out, he hits the links on our nearby golf courses.

    Downtime is spent with his partner Tammy and step-son Jake in their home in Fergus, or summer property on Lake Belwood. Either way, they appreciate the view and natural beauty that both towns offer. It’s a quality of life and the sense of community here that keeps Paul focused on helping his clients feel at home here too. And they do.
